ARCHIVED MESSAGES
TO HOME - WEEK 3
|
To: Ilsa and Alysha From: Begini and Begitu 6th September | Just enjoying the view! The snow on the peaks look cold, later we saw some snow! But only a little. Papa says we better get ready for the cold. We think we are the ones that will warm Papa up! More coming, tomorrow we going to visit a monastery and maybe get to see a glacier close up.
To: Marina, Sara, Nisa & Dani From: Mior (Zebra) 5th September | Akum, apa khabar semua moga moga sihat belaka. Di sini sihat semua dan letih. Baru sampai di Zedang (dekat Lhasa) di Tibet. Cuaca sangat sejuk dan perjalanan masih lagi jauh. Miss you all and I love you all very much. Can’t wait to see you all when I get back. Salam buat semua.
To: Papa, Mama, Alvin & Yenni From: Andy Tan 5th September | Dear Papa, Mama & All at Home. I am fine. Safe and sound. I am keeping myself warm and getting plenty of rest. And yes yes yes. I do say a prayer every morning and on occasions that I feel that its necessary. Anyway, I am having a lot of fun and am really enjoying myself. I miss you all at home. Love
To: Clara & Jean Guy Toulouse, France D2 and Mrs. D2 of KL From: Ajee 5th September | The last one week while passing through Yunnan and the Tibetan Highland, I journey through the most spectacular scenery I have ever seen. I think I am one of those lucky ones to be able to breath the mountain air and see it for real. I am doing fine but I started to miss Nasi Kandar and TGIF’s Rib Eye Steak. I can only dream bout it for now! One more month to go. I also miss Moon cake and thanks to D2 and D2, please save a piece of Lotus paste with one egg york for me. Thanks a million.
To: Claus & Harald, Deutschland From: Farid 5th September | Thanks for your message. I am in Zedang, Tibet now. In 2 days time, I will reach the base camp of Everest at Tingri. So far the adventure has been amazing. Tibet especially. Health is good, food is excellent. Only one thing, toilet, which is not so encouraging here in China. Anyway, wish me luck! Thanks.
To: Rachel and Robyn From: Ku Cheh (Assam) 5th September | Ku Cheh is in Tibet now. It’s quite cold so I’m sure you will enjoy the weather. But I don’t think you would like the food. There’s no pasta and beef burgers here. Very Chinese and Tibetan food. Here is a picture of a Yak which went past Ku Cheh. It’s a cross between a cow and a buffalo and the Tibetans rely on it for milk, butter, clothes, and meat. With love.
To: Mom and Dad From: Mojo, Harun 31st August | Hi There, I'm sure you are enjoying your cruise. Cold? At least its more comfortable than a car 12 hours of the day! See you soon and enjoy the rest of your trip.
