The team’s stay in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic will be a brief one. After disembarking at the Laotian town of Houayxay, on the other side of the Mekong River, the team will head to Louang Namtha. Of the three former French Indochinese states, Laos is the least developed but she charms with her friendly people and beautiful scenery. From Louang Namtha, the team proceeds to the Lao village of Boten for another border crossing, this time into China’s Yunnan Province.
